Hi, I'm TJ.
I'm a local photographer in the Twin Cities, an event photographer passionate about capturing the energy, emotions, and unforgettable moments that make each occasion unique. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, I specialize in documenting events with a blend of candid storytelling and artistic flair.
I believe every event tells its own story, and my goal is to preserve those memories in a way that feels authentic and timeless. Whether it’s the laughter shared during a toast, the quiet moments behind the scenes, or the vibrant energy of the crowd, I’m there to ensure no detail goes unnoticed.
When I’m not photographing, I enjoy the simple things in life; outdoors, walks, car drives, friends, family and new hobbies. Let’s work together to turn your special moments into lasting memories.

Why Photography?
Photography is not just a hobby; it’s a profession. I was honored to receive a grant from the Minnesota Board of Arts (2025). A project exploring my own heritage of weddings—with a twist: gay marriage. Blending tradition with modern love and have had my work exhibited more than twice at InProgress, the State Capitol and Saint Paul Public Library - Rice St. (2024), showcasing my dedication to the craft.

Choosing photography as an art form is actually a funny story. As a kid, I always wanted to be a recording artist-never thought about being a photographer! At one point, I was making music with someone and asked them what I was doing wrong. They tried to explain gently, but I didn’t quite get it—until they flat-out told me I was terrible and should explore something else.
At the time, all I had was an iPhone 4, so I started taking pictures just to try something new. But when I finally picked up a professional camera, I never put it back down.
